Started by members of the Gay Liberation Front, it was the first British gay newspaper and included national and international news; reviews of film, TV and pop; details of forthcoming gay events and classified ads.
Summer 1972 and GN reported that John, who often came to Brighton to 'meet other men', ended up in police cells for 3 weeks, accused of cottaging.
